Story
You step into your apartment, 80s music drifts through the air, an idol show plays on the television; a nostalgic setting surely, but what is this feeling of unease? You question this place you used to call “home,” noticing as it distorts with every shift of your eyes, anxious as your surroundings skirt the precipice of the extraordinary. As you push through each memory, uncovering the layers of each mystery, you may find buried in this home, the unsettling truth of those who lived here.

History

'Devotion' is Red Candle Games' second title since the release of 'Detention'. While team members each has their own creative perspectives, they all share the same emotions and feelings towards the land they called home. By utilizing the medium of gaming, they hope to tell a story that happens around the place we are all familiar with - home.

Review

Devotions an extremely, hard game to discuss. Not on the grounds that it is a hard game to portray or anything like that. But since it is such an unfathomable encounter that it is one you truly need to find for yourself direct for it to truly take your breath away and take your breath away it will.

Devotion is set during the 1980s and in Taiwan. The game has been limited and the interpretation is incredible and I experienced no difficulty by any means. I do sort of wish that they gave it an English name however as I feel some great voice acting would have made this much more amazing.

One thing that Red Candle Games have done very well is to make the loft the game is set in truly feel like it is the 80s. Presently allowed I don’t have the foggiest idea what a 80s condo in Taiwan resembled, yet I can absolutely tell the 80s when I see it. As you are investigating the condo things begin to get truly unusual and you have an uncomfortable inclination the entire time.

The narrative of the game is that there is this family and the dad is an author who didn’t actually have things go his direction so he went to… . We should simply say a higher capacity to enable him to take care of his family. Gradually the house begins to turn and it causes your hair to stand on end! You really experience the condo at various occasions in history and it is done just so inconceivably well.
